This seller is in effect compiling tracks from different record labels and selling the compilations on printed discs in plastic sleeves. They claim there is "no copyright" but there is. Some of the tracks included are very well known in the techno/house field.

Judging by the history of this seller, they seem to be getting away with a clear breach of copyright. Does anyone what permits them to do so? Coz I'd love to get in on it if they can do this!

it prolly is infringing copyright.
if your concerned report it to ARIA

and or ebay.

He's based in England. So don't think ARIA would cover it?
But certainly report to ebay UK

There is a lot of music that has no copyright for various reasons - modern and old.... Theres a million websites that offer royalty free music for professional use (the same as copyright free image sites) - just Google them. They are FULL of house and techno!
Sometimes you pay for membership, sometimes you pay to download, sometimes you pay for a lisence (with various terms, up to unrestricted use),they arent expensive. Sometimes they are completely free.
How on earth do you know each of these songs is a clear breach of copyright? a quick google search showed a hell of a lot of royalty free / public domain information for Dancing Danny D (aka Dmob) music. Appears to be quite legit to me.

Thanks for the info mate.
I just did a bunch of checks on tracks I know very well from their listings and they are currently under copyright ownership with companies like BMG. The seller states outright that there is no copyright, so this suggests they haven't paid royalties to include the tracks on the discs they are selling.
Interesting. Reminds me of the people on here who sold unlicenced personalised Disney franchise-themed party invites and got in big trouble.

There's still nearly 1,000 listings for Disney party invitations.
Can't all be licensed

Looking at most of his listings they all state the the music is not copyrighted.
It looks to me as though he has been reported before so is getting in first hoping to prevent any hassles.

I don't know the songs, but if there are copyright concerns, it would probably be better to contact whoever you believe to be the copyright holders and let them take it from there - far better to let someone who will know for sure take a look than condemn a seller on (unconfirmed) suspicion.
