Kiwis in OZ

I hope this is the right place for this topic?!

Anyway, are there many Kiwis on here that use ebay?

I've used ebay for a little while and find it great so far. The people that I have dealt with so far have been really good. I've used the NZ equivalent of ebay and it fails big-time in comparison. I would have so much hassle with buyers and sellers and the people who ran the site weren't helpful when it came to resolving issues about buying and selling.

What are your experiences with ebay?

Also, any tips would be appreciated.

It's a good site but still it's a good idea to vet sellers by looking at feedback, description and if in doubt, always ask the seller first. That way, you can normally gauge if they are genuine and provide good service depending on the speed and type of response you get. 😉

Although I have bought a few rare things from TM it isn't a good source of items that I collect and it is hard to use a secure payment method. Hardly anyone seems to offer Paypal and if you are lucky you can find a seller who accepts a credit card payment otherwise the main option is bank deposit which is hardly worth thinking about because of the high fees. I've found no information there about buyer protection and I wonder if it exists.

It is hard to buy on there and they don't offer the same payment methods.

If you have a NZ bank account then it does help with avoiding bank fees etc..........However, not many people like shipping to Australia.

I'm just going to stick to ebay. It's less hassle.
