Listing in multiple categories

If I wish to list the same item in two or even three different categories simultaneously, can I use my available free listings to do so, or will I be required to pay? I can find nothing in the help files which comes even remotely close to answering my question.

Yes, I saw that Crikey but it says nothing about whether or not 2nd and 3rd listings in different categories are free if you have some free listings available to use. I'm assuming that you can, but if not, it looks like I'll be out of pocket $3 which is not much in the grand scheme of things, but it would still be annoying when I still have a number of free listings left to use.

Not sure & I never list in multiple catagories but I seem to remember people coming and complaining they had been charged for second cats even though they had not used their freebies.

Why not list as scheduled listings then you can see what the fees will be and then edit or cancel if they are not as you want them.

There doesn't appear to be a problem, as this item can quite legitimately be listed in four different categories. Indeed, eBay even suggested those four categories and while one of them doesn't really suit, the other three are very close. Trouble is, it's a fairly unique item which I've not seen listed on eBay before so I'm not at all sure in which category it would attract the most interest. Never mind, if I end up being charged $3 then so be it. I'll just be glad to see the back of the thing. ๐Ÿ™‚
