Managed Payments charges too high fees for games

Hi, I'm a casual seller on eBay selling games I beat. I do not have an eBay store as it doesn't make any financial sense to pay $25AUD per month for the subscription.

So coming to the point, I thought with managed payments and paypal being out of the loop, I'll save more money on games being sold. But this was such a huge mistake.

For example: I sold a PS5 Game for $89 but the eBay fees is 13.4% of final value feels + 0.30 fixed fee

therefore from the transaction details I'm only getting $76.77. This is RIDICULOUS.

Check here for more info: https://www.ebay.com.au/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/selling-fees?id=4822

Prior to Managed payments I used to pay only final fees under < $7 with games being sold with Fees on Paypal + eBay COMBINED.

How do I fix this?

I called eBay customer service and they were really helpless. They say I can't opt out cos they don't work with PayPal anymore. Is there anyway I could save on fees like prior? Or is this it?

A $89 sale would have attracted a 10.9% selling fee from eBay prior to MP, so around $9.69. Plus Paypal @ 2.6% + 30c; another $2.61. So, $12.30 vs $12.23. You're in front.

I don't know where you get <$7 from.

Here's a new, hopefully temporary wrinkle, they wouldn't let me tick that post til I signed in again

Interesting. I think I know why, eBay used to give me a lot of pay only $1 Final Value Fee promotional offers all the time while PayPal was there. Now I don't get them anymore. Thanks though.
