We have been having a problem signing up for managed payments for almost a month now on a different ebay account.
As you know once you get the notification you HAVE! to do it.
We started the process on the 4th March and when we applied we submitted all documents including business details, bank account details, passports, copy of statement etc and it failed to be recognised by the system So I did the micropayment thing and that all went ok but still they won't acknowledge the account.
So 26 days later having spoken 4 times on the phone with them resubmitted statements multiple times and been fobbed off with sending it to another team to look at (twice) We are stuck. Spoke to a lady on Friday who on decided it was an issue with our being a partnership and would return us to Paypal for a short time. Each time that happens it's another 72 or 48 hours wait and still nothing happens.
Today I spoke with a guy today who first off wanted me to enter the account details again but eventually said he would email the lady I spoke with on Friday to find out why it didn't happen.
Normally we sell a fair bit every month but have only had 2 sales for the entire month and no benefit from the ebay shop fee which they refuse refund. We also have some money stuck on hold which they won't pay up.
All the way through this there is no accountability, the phone calls just disappear into the ether and any promises seem to be forgotten.
I started selling on eBay in 2001 and after so much **bleep** over the years I think this is likely to be the last straw.
Any ideas what to do next?

A seller in the FB group I'm in went through something similar until ebay eventually advised them their system is not actually set up to accomodate partnerships so they have remained with PayPal as their payment system - it took a couple of weeks of going in circles, as well. It sounds like yours was handled even worse if they actually switched you over but can't pay out? (I'm not even sure what the issue is, don't they actually have an option to register as a partnership?).
Unfortunately I don't know what else to advise - you could try raising a complaint against Adyen (the actual payment processor for MP) with AFCA to at least get the funds that are currently being held.

Ok a similar problem by the sounds, they have promised to transfer us back to Paypal but haven't actually gotten around to doing it 4 days after promising to do so. Everything takes so long to do.
Interesting about Adyen will hold that in reserve for now.

And now to add insult to injury they have taken their damn monthly payment from my Paypal account and not from the amount they are refusing to pay into my bank!

I think at this point I would be going after Adyen for your money as digi suggested.
I understand you giving them time to fix, and that is good of you BTW, but I think they
have had time enough now, and this is becoming ridiculous.
Seriously, I admire your fortitude because by now I would be bald after pulling my hair out!

I think your right I am very close to going down that road, It is only a matter of $300 as we have been unable to sell anything since the first week passed. It's not the point though and they are holding the payments without good reason.
I did (6th call) get an ebay advisor today who actually listened to me and even confirmed (a first) the call in an email. Usually, they don't acknowledge any of the past calls/promises made and you never get the same person twice.
A couple more days....

Totally feel your pain - numerous calls to update our business details to ‘sole trader’ not a corporation - providing all supporting business documentation and we keep getting the run around. We no longer want to trade on eBay, as we have our own website + other platforms - just want them to release the money that is rightfully ours. We also paid a hefty chunk of fees to eBay - unfortunately that wasn’t stalled in the process!

Hi,
We have the same problem with registering our partnership for MP. Countless phone calls to eBay and no solution for a couple of month now. Our money are being held on hold and accounts have been restricted, so very limited sales (70% down). Have you resolved your problem?

I have had the same problem for over eight weeks now. Five chats to agents and still no resolution. Sent through my paperwork twice as the first lot didn't appear to have been received, but funnily, they had some on record! Figure that out. No sales after about three weeks and money sitting on hold, customers getting dud messages about having to pay again, and then getting the same again when they do. Bloody frustrating.
