I'm sorry if this has been asked to death......
Somebody won a bid on Saturday and still hasn't paid.
I realize that ebay auto sends them reminders after a few days, but I'm not sure when and how many reminders they receive.
My question - is it better to send them a private message or send them another invoice?
I can't see any type of 'reminder' notice to send them through ebay.
Cheers!

Send them a nice email, thanking them for their purchase and reminding them gently of your terms of sale. Give it a day or two/three then if you still hear nothing dont bother again, just begin the dispute process.

first of all, you can check whether ebay has sent them a reminder - this is in MY ACCOUNT - MANAGE COMMUNICATIONS WITH BUYERS
see if the ebay default for a reminder has been ticked.
If they have already had a reminder from ebay, I would just send them a polite message .....this is one I use supplied by these boards members some time ago...
Hi: ???
I have just been checking my payments received and see that I have not received a payment ??? from you yet, as it is now ? days could you please check your records to see if the payment has bounced back to you for some reason, or email me within 24 hours if there is a problem.
Then if they don't answer after 24 hours I start the unpaid item process
(resolve a problem box)

Ebay send the reminder after 48 hours unless you have it disabled in your communication preferences. If I still haven't heard anything by end of day 3 I send an invoice with a note that I cannot find their payment so can they please confirm the details so I can prevent an unpaid item dispute being opened in 24 hours. If they still don't pay by the end of day 4 I open the dispute.

Thank you, I will try this.
I'd rather a gentle approach rather than a 'pay up or else!' approach - as that only aggravates the situation.

Yep, everything seems to be ok there.... the reminder has been ticked and they should be receiving them.
It's funny because when I go read all her feedbacks, they are FANTASTIC AND HIGHER RECOMMENDED and blah, blah....
So why not pay for mine?? lol.

If it comes to that, it will be my very first dispute... and I've been selling since around Feb this year.
Pretty good if you ask me, yes? ๐

A lot of sellers use auto feedback for buyers

Hi, just like the other guys here I would send a reminder email. I also got the following email/message from one of the threads on this forum, so here's another example which you can use if you wanted to and alter to your liking.
"Thank you for your purchase. Your item has been packed and is ready to be posted. Payment can be made via Direct Deposit, Paypal ....etc. Would you kindly make payment as soon as possible / OR / by..... add a specific date." Kind Regards.......
To add, I have found some buyers have been slow to pay lately, but I have found once I have sent a reminder, they have been pretty quick to respond, some apologising and paying quite quickly after that. I suppose sometimes people do get side tracked with their busy lives.
Good luck!
