Just a word of warning.  Make sure you check your email accounts carefully, as I have just found a message from this morning that did not appear in eBay messages and also an invoice I sent earlier today 'vanished' - have sent it a second time and is still not showing as sent ?!  And it's not even Friday Smiley LOL

The phone tower was in years before the hospital......which is only 5 years old. The phone tower is up on the mountain behind us and the hospital faces it. Hence why the lead walls are causing a lot of issues for staff (and patients). When I was in there 2 years ago, I had to either keep going out the front to use the phone, or go into "authorised personel only" areas (of which there aren't many where phones actually work)

There you go.

One of the few instances where the technology predated the infrastructure.

The app is having problems with messages. I get the notification ting noise and then when  open the message there is no content, just blank. I then have to go into the full site to be able to see messages. This has been happening for at least 5 days - since the 'upgrade' of the app. FRUSTRATING

It's not just the App that has this problem. It happens with the full site on a computer also, & has been doing so on & off since I joined in 2002. Back then & for years later they were told about it, but didn't fix it. So now in 2016 it's still broken & nobody knows why they refuse to fix it.

Because they are absolutely terrified that buyers and sellers may communicate with each other and sort things out between themselves and stop ebay controlling everything on the site.

I think you've hit the nail on the head !!  I only ever use full site on lap or desktop & my problem arose because a buyer and I were negotiating the sale of a second item and combining post !  And no, we weren't trying to do anything off eBay.

BTW - She paid for the second item last night, so I can post today, but that means 4th working day since she paid for original item - 2 days handling time - so I'll just wait for the Shipping Defect - thanks eBay - good onya !!  Meanwhile, I will continue to help my buyers have a better buying experience and save them on postage whenever I can  !! Smiley LOL

I have to go outside at home to use my phone.

Have had two different phones and several replacement SIMs.

No lead walls that I am aware of.

Anywhere else...seems to get a strong signal.

I have been missing eBay messages at times for several weeks. Using standard site.

I get pretty carpy reception at home too. My phone has to sit in one spot if I'm expecting a call. If I'm on the phone and have a signal, I have to stand there like a corpse because moving even an inch can cause signal drop out.

A few years ago I tried one of those prepaid wireless internet thingies where you just stuck a thing in the side of your computer. I had to go halfway down the yard to be able to use it. Kind of made it difficult when it rained!

I'm in a dead spot, so are the neighbours either side and the house across the road. Everyone else in the street has great reception!
