Many moons ago, ebay used to have a category called something like bizarre/unusual items. (or at least, the American site did)
I used to love browsing.
Who could have resisted the alligator head, open, with an ashtray inside the mouth section?
Or the tree that had had branches removed and replaced with planks to be used as display or shelving. Nearly two storeys high, it was. they listed it as one of a kind.
And the feedback. no measly 80 character limit back in the day. No, those Americans could rip into sellers for 4 lines worth, or more. And sellers would reply likelwise and it was on for young and old.
Ah, those were the days. This thread brought it all back.
