Dear oh dear, I was quite bored tonight and procrastinating about listing ..... now my night just got interesting
Two failed attempts at credit card transfers this morning.
One for around $100 the other closer to $200
Lucky I keep no dosh in Paypal ever
Lucky I link Paypal to a Visa Debit Card that I use ONLY to draw from straight after I buy something
Lucky I have a bank stop on any funds being drawn from my linked bank account
I will ring Paypal in the morning and see what the go is .
Running computer scans now.
The details appear as charge from credit card - only details are This transaction will appear on your statement as "PAYPAL *DENDYFAJARN".

Nup no email advice re either payment at all.
I have spoken with Paypl this am, actually got an Australian rep - yay insert 20 happy cat emoticons
Whilst the payments were rejected as their were no funds in debit card account, they were not flagged as suspicious as the transfer ISP tracked as being in my local area - the rep confirmed that they logged in via a computer, not a phone. He could not tell me why email advices were not generated and sent.
I have changed passwords and codes etc etc via another computer.
Still scanning now - trying a few different programs to triple check that there are no keyloggers or other nasties - sigh - but nothing ominous coming up at all - gawd knows what I have done to infect my computer ?

How did you manage that on a Sunday? Whenever I've gone to ring them on the weekend, the only phone number I can find says open Monday to Friday.

Cats, if you own a phone why not change all your info from your phone?, I don't think there are keylogger programs to get into phone info ( correct me if I'm wrong). And if that's the case have you connected your phone to a infected computer as a mass storage device? ( maybe done that way ??)
They said access wasn't via phone. So I dunno ????
Paswords are changed now via a friends computer
Phone access has been delinked and relinked with new code etc

I'm just being curious here . . . . but did you change your PayPal password when eBay had the security breach earlier this year and made all of us change our eBay password? If you didn't, then maybe that might have something to do with it.
Hope it all works out well for you cats. Good that you have limited potential losses.

Why do you ask this.
I have 4 in the house - 3 connected to wireless.
