I had a sale.. yes, that's very strange, but that's not the issue..
a clothing item with free postage...
then I get an email asking me to cancel, as when they purchased, and went to pay, they say they were unable to pay , and a message said to contact seller for postage costs.. so she says, she doesnt want it if she has to pay postage..
I looked at the sold item, and under postage & handling, it says, in red, " hazard sign " Posting cost can't be calculated. Please enter a valid postcode.
its from one nsw address to another..
what on earth might be going on..
has anyone else had a similiar issue and know how to fix?
maybe some buyers are seeing that and passing by..
I might log out and see what I can find out
any help will be appreciated.
not sure if it's a one off or a serious problem
thank you

That 'cannot calculate postage' was showing for me and a number of others a couple of weeks back. I thought it had been fixed, but obviously not. Can you email the buyer and let her know that postage is still definitely free. Can you send an invoice showing this?

With sales as scarce as they are I am so sorry to hear that eBay may have robbed you of this one. I do hope your buyer is understanding. It is a technical glitch for God's sake. You did not try to rip her off or anything.
After 12 years on eBay I have made a very sad decision to close down my business at the end of this month. I have had the lot of it and can only see things getting much worse after 1st November 😞
Good luck with your buyer.

This glitch has been going on for a few weeks now. Under the item price, instead of saying "free postage" or "postage $7.20", it says "will post to Australia" and when you click on the postage tab, it says postage can't be calucated, please enter a valid postcode. I'm having to send invoices to nearly every buyer as they can't pay.
It also means that free postage items aren't showing as free postage when the buyer looks at it. There is no free postage banner across the photo.
If you send the buyer an invoice, they should be able to pay with free postage.

report the glitch to CS again - maybe if we keep reporting it they will fix it.
