I would like to leave some negative feedback on a non-payer but finding impossible to do so, with the only option of leaving positive feedback. Surely this system of user rating users only works if accurate/constructive negative feedback can be added as well as positive. I'd like to leave my feedback so others who receive bids from this user can be aware of the issue.

It can't be done Bacutie, but if you would like to help other sellers then all you need to do is open an  unpaid item case against them.

This means that the buyer will be unable to bid with other sellers that have their blocks set up properly.

I hope you have done yours.  Go to your site preferences page and under your buyer requirements section you can block buyers that have unpaid item strikes.

I agree with this - if more sellers would simply slap Non Paying Disputes on problem buyers (the ones who have not contacted you or offer excuses rather than paying up), then these buyers would be prevented from repeating the same tactics.  Remember that feedback is voluntary and more importantly is not normally checked by the seller prior to the sale being made.  Negative comments by sellers are against ebay policy and will result in the seller being disciplined rather than affecting the buyer.

The unpaid item blackmark is as easy to have removed as taking your next breath it seems.

There's a post from another seller about this on the message board somewhere.

I don't know about buyers getting strikes overturned but I do know there are a lot of them who have been blocked from buying from me so presumably they either have been unable to get the strikes overturned or they don't know that they can try.

I get very few non payers and have no wish to leave negs for them anyway as it usually ended up making the seller look bad.

I can't recall the details from the other seller's post somewhere but I remember that they said that the buyer/s concerned only needed to tell Ebay that they had simply forgotten about paying due to life away from Ebay, or similar trivial excuses.

Personally I can't see how anyone can simply forget to pay for something they purchase anywhere, but I always make a point of paying for anything i buy ASAP after winning the item concerned.

The thing that's got me going a couple of times is when some seller tells me THEY forgot to ship my item when I am forced to write to them later about not receiving it.

That is a sure fire way to earn a neg feedback from me and stuff their precious DSR totally up, especially when they lie to me and say they posted it the day after purchase or whatever when the postal mark shows the real date is a day or two after my contacting them over not being received. X-(

I check my Blocked Buyer Activity report every time I update my BBL and am pleased to note buyers are being blocked for too many unpaid item strikes.  I have seen a suggestion that it is only necessary to open another ID to get around this but believe this would put the buyer in breach of ebay policy - much better for the buyer to be caught out than the seller penalised.

This annoys me also.. I have no problem waiting if there is a long handling time in their listings, that's fine as I knew there would be a wait;but when a seller puts they have 2-3 days handling time and it still hasn't been posted after a week that's when I start getting annoyed.

Some sellers get impatient when buyers don't do what they're supposed to and pay quickly or at least contact the seller, but think it's ok to make the buyer wait for their item because they "forgot" to post it or ran out of stock. Running out of stock often can't be helped as a high volume seller, but it wouldn't hurt to contact the buyer so they know what's going on

Nah place is geared to keep the buyers happy thats why theyre discouraging auction listings too by upping the listing fees and the FVF fees for them. Auction listing are fun & can prove profitable for the sellers but not for the buyers, Anyway...

Leaving a neg to non-payers isnt really necessary. But i'd be still honest about it which wouldnt make you look bad and write something like *no response from buyer* and leave it at that...& if it gets pulled.. it gets pulled...no skin off your nose , coz...

(I dont really care about non-payers btw as)... once you open an unpaid item dispute you recoup any incurring ebay fees...after that, you can relist the item, only time was lost.

Be careful, if buyer reports it to Ebay the message will be removed, plus you'll get a nasty policy violation which can affect your ability to sell more things.
