6-weeks ago today we mailed an express item to a buyer that they had opted to pay for.
Their postcode was withing the network so it should have arrived the next business day.
It did not so we sent out a replacement for the buyer, which they received the following day.
Reasonable happy buyer as they still had a spare day up their sleeve.
We opened a complaint with Aust Post and after 10-days got no response.
I then asked them to escalate the case but still got no response.
So yesterday I raised a formal complaint with the Postal Ombudsman.
We have just now received a message from the buyer saying that the original express item mailed 6-weeka ago today has arrived.
The buyer has offered to return it to us at her expense as it still is in re-saleable condition.
It seems very odd that the very next day after contacting the ombudsman it should be delivered.
Check the tracking status in the attached pic...
