dianna, for you own good, please do NOT open a Store until you have tried buying and selling on ebay.
you will have restrictions on a new account anyhow, so can maybe only list 10 or 15 items a month to begin with, so start out small, just selling without a Store and see how it goes
there is a lot to learn, the ebay SITE MAP at the bottom of the page is a good starting point.
list one or two things, learn about the postage etc. and see how it goes before you spend $20 or more a month on a Store.
~~ ~~ ~~ Those who do right, have nothing to fear.

Putneys advice is very good. Start with a few low value items. I think it would be very risky to jump in too deep until you have got the hang of it. You don't need a store to start with, that is something to worry about down the track.
Good luck!
