New "Shop Aussie Sellers" button is good. Thanks, eBay.

Something positive for a change that I noticed when searching for my listings today.

Typed in one of my items and this appeared at the top of the search listings in big text:

Search new: [item name] from Aussie Sellers? (With a button beside it that says SHOP NOW)

Weeds out all of the Chinese sellers and leaves just my listings (I'm the only person in Australia that sells what I sell).

I don't know how long this has been implemented but I just noticed it today. Thank you eBay, for doing something good and helpful for a change!

My sales have improved in the last few days and I'm wondering if it's due to this.

I don't see that option when I search. Do you have a screenshot? Sounds like it would be a great feature and make it a lot easier for those who like to keep an eye on their listings, not to mention buyers who only want to buy from Australian sellers.

I thought that too at first, and then I realised it only searches NEW items, so not so good.

I didn't realise that it only applies to new items, though. That's a shame.

Oh, I don't get that :(. I changed the search to "new" items only and all I got in any search was a sponsored link at the top. Maybe it's a roll out process that hasn't got to me yet. I tried on all 3 accounts in different browsers.

Yeah it is good but unfortunately the "Aussie" seller is tainted by all the sellers in 'Darwin' who are really in China.

They are supposed to be reportable for misrepresenting item location.

We have tried in our category and nothing happens.

The way I understand it is that ebay.AU have no jurisdiction for action against sellers registered in another country.

All they can do is to forward on the report to the country they are registered in for action.

And... you guessed it... ebay.CN (or wherever) simply do nothing about it.
