Hi all,
I am VERY new to this and any advice would be much appreciated. I am currently selling fishing lures and will soon be including rods and reels into our range. Which I am very excited about.
However if you look at my store you will see a BIG zero for feedback as I have just started. Any tips on how to make my ebay store run a little faster? I am very proud of our products and believe it is a reasonable price range, however how do I entice a buyer to buy without me having a track record??
Thank you all for reading my post and and any thoughts will be greatly appreciated!
Have a great day!

Hi there!
Buyers can be very wary of sellers with no feedback because a lot of fraudulent sellers change their IDs and start again when they acrue some negative feedback.
I would suggest you use your new ID to buy some items, pay promptly and earn some good feedback as a buyer. Then when browsers to your store have a look at your items and see that you have good feedback and will be more willing to buy from you.
If you have just started selling on ebay after selling from an actual shop, then do say so. Saying "New to ebay after selling locally in ____________" - that way you are telling potential buyers that you do actually have experience which will increase buyer confidence. And it's a bonus that you are an Aussie store rather than selling from Asia, that also increases confidence.
Also, it may be good to put a little more about postage in your description, such as 'Item will be sent within ______ of payment' and also 'If you have any questions about our products or other queries please contact us!'.
And finally: Good luck!

I second the advice to buy a few items. Not only will it give you some feedback but it will give you an idea of how ebay works ie checkout, emails sent etc from a buyers perspective. Once you understand what it is like to buy on ebay you can then offer your customers the best buying experience possible ๐

OK, now you know if you only get one bid, you're going to have to swallow hard and sell those lures for .99c don't you? The $25.00 buy it now is not a reserve price, and will disappear when the first bid is placed. So if you don't want to have that happen, and you're using them as a "lure" (pardon the pun) to get buyers to your site, then at least sell them for a price where you are not going to lose money, once you take into account the item cost and ebay fees. Quite a few of us use "loss leaders" in an auction format to drive watchers and buyers to our items, but at 99c you're losing money before you even start.
And yes, buy some items, get some feedback and look a bit more experienced. Devote half an hour a day to trawling the Q and A forums to learn how ebay runs at "ground zero" with real questions and answers and you'll learn heaps.

Now you have your first sale; I have absolutely no idea whether it's expensive or not, but I do have a son-in-law who is a fisherman, so I'm sure he'll use it:-) Post it quick and I'll leave feedback as soon as it arrives.
As others have suggested, buy some cheap items just to get your feedback off and running; there's always birthdays etc., so if you can't find anything you want, buy something for someone else.
And good luck:-D

You've already sold a few so you're on your way. I wouldn't worry about zero feedback. Everyone starts somewhere and buyers do know this. They look at your item first and foremost.
You're getting quite alot of views so your title, price and opening Gallery photo is bringing people in. Your description is good too - lots of info, easy to see and straight to the point. For the Auction price with a BIN added, I would remove the BIN option. As stated, put one or two things (worth maybe $5-10) for a 0.99c auction to bring people into your store. Often times when someone bids on one item, they will bid or buy other similar items in your store. Cheap auctions for small things is a great way to do that and it also shows a somewhat friendly approach to encourage people to buy something at their price, instead of always offering things at a fixed price. Again, only do this for small things to start off with, until you're confident that future more higher-priced items can get a good price at auction too.

Your listings look good, great prices, clear sharp images, think you will do well.
Personally think #1 nonny's advice was fantastic - letting the buyers know you are not new to selling and thereby that you have knowledge of your product as well. Good Luck
You can't please all the people all the time, so now I just please myself

Is combined postage available?
Might be a good idea to add a note in listings if it is.
