I received in the mail some trial express post click & send satchels with a letter attached stating that these satchels are planned for release over the coming weeks and there are some samples enclosed. They will also be available via the Aust Post online store - the same as the regular satchels.
Going by the code at the back of these new satchels, they are identical to the regular c&s satchels so no doubt most people would opt for the express version if they price will be the same!
Anyone else received these satchels yet? They are not yet available from the online store.

Has anyone else noticed that the 3kg satchel code now brings up an EXPRESS option for $13? The 500g code still just brings up the one option.
Does anyone know what this is all about?

That's very handy to know, thanks for the update. So that means we can now use C&S 3kg Express satchels and prepare the labels and pay online as part of a regular C&S shipment.

Fingers crossed that stays X
That's cheaper than the regular express satchel which is $14.80 and is even cheaper than a regular parcel post satchel which is $13.40.
Mmm ..... ? ? ?

I don't think so - the express post satchels are not available for purchase, there is no update when you log on to C&S to advise us of this so personally I just think it's an error. If it were true then both the 500g and 3kg would be showing but atm it's just the 3kg.

It will be good if that is the correct postage cost but I don't think C&S is ready to process the Express satchels. I just tried a test and put in Melbourne as the destination and it came up with an error message.
Attention: The destination postcode you are sending your parcel to is outside the Express Post guaranteed next day delivery network. Your parcel will still receive the fastest possible delivery on a non-guaranteed basis. Please select Next if you wish to proceed or Cancel if you wish to choose a different delivery service.

Yeah, as I thought - just an error - how unusual! 😉

sportandplay I think that message is just a wider, longer term click and send glitch that always happens when processing express post - I have had that message pop up, since the new australia post changes came in every time I process an express label no matter where it is going to - even the Melbourne and Sydney CBDs 😮 .
Have to say I am very skeptical about express being introduced at that low price, however I would be delighted if it was the case 😄

I'm confused - you've processed express post C&S satchels before? I thought you were not able to.

You can process all parcel labels via click and send, it is not just ebay satchels only.
You are unable to pay for them online, and need to pay for them over the counter, or put them on your account at your post office.
Gives you the same paypal protection as you have addressee label as proof and tracking number on receipt when you pay.
Works out cheaper for a number of my parcels ie. sending 3kg within 50kms only costs $8.95 :-x
I also don't need to keep satchels on hand if I wish to post express.

Is there any news with these as to when they will be available? Could you please post the codes so I can check it out in click and send.
Thank you
