Just letting sellers know that "did the item arive" (by such and such date) has now been rolled out on to the app.

I found myself typing in a message to a buyer this evening "In order to meet eBay's shipping requirements...." ๐
I have a few buyers every now and then where the circumstances are a little different to the standard buy > post scenario, eg recently I had a buyer send something back for customisation, plus purchase other items in the mean time, so to save them postage etc I waited until everything was ready and shipped it all out together, other times - because eBay can't get their darn site and/or apps to work properly - I need to confirm certain details befor I can process and ship out an order.
This BS is likely either going to result in more orders shipped out that may not be quite right, and/or more cancelled orders. Awesome for buyers.
(Sorry, very annoyed at eBay over this uneccessary metric - not directed at you in any way ๐ ).

I can understand were you are coming from with the custom jobs you do.
I was realy hoping that the "did item arive" thing was not going to the app, it just seems like a "hay we want to put the pressure on sellers with our guessimate delivery date(s)".
Thats sorta one way i take it, the other way i take it ill most likley get a slap for writing it.
Also i dont get why it has to be there, i mean seriously, the buyer gives feedback, id take that as the item arived in all cases, (except sellers that get feedback as soon as a purchase is made)
