Thinking of opening a store (again, I've had them on and off over the years) -- but I see now we can only list fixed pirce or with auctions only for items in the 'collectables' category.
What I'm mostly wanting to sell is old comics.... but comics are not in the collectables category!! Wha...?? Comics are among the most collected items on earth!

People collect all sort of things that aren't in eBay's "collectible" categories. I would also venture to suggest that no one collects some of the things in that category. eBay logic...
At any rate, you can list comics in whatever format you like, but it'll cost you $1.50 to list them as an auction if you have a store (presuming the price is <$100).

It is pretty silly. Is there an "other" section in the collectables category(ie)?

Hi, thanks for that info but it looks like 'media' only refers to music-related items. I could be wrong though, eBay's become so convultuted it's hard to work out what their latest policies are.

Hi Dylan -- no, there's no 'other' sub-category in 'collectables', unfortunately
I just checked on the eBay US site, and comics ARE under collectables there!
Does anyone who works at eBay Australia read this message board? If so, PLEASE PUT COMIC BOOKS IN THE COLLECTABLES CATEGORY where they belong.

And books and comics and DVDs

No, 'media' is a sub-category of 'music'. Comics aren't musical.

Look at books etc. They have the same listing costs (5c in a shop) and include comics.
If you care to look at listing costs on the Help or Site Map pages you will find books, CDs, DVDs are all classed as media.

Only if they come under MUSIC first. So what that means is that MUSIC CDs, MUSIC DVDs and MUSIC books are classified as media.
Books per se are in their own category, which has the sub-category of comics.
