I just noticed something weird on our second account.
Our funds (as you know) have been on hold for 21 days. I went to check on an echeque that we've been waiting on as we want to post as soon as we can, only to find that we have a notice underneath it saying "funds are available"
No - the echeque hasn't cleared.
Opened paypal to find there are NO holds on ANY of our funds (some sales were only today)........
Well... I almost weed a little.
Quick! Go check your pending funds please and tell me it's more than just us.

Bid KUDOS to cq_tech for bringing to everyone's attention that a complaint to FOS costs PayPal $1500 a go.
Hopefully more sellers will lodge complaints.
An FB page is an excellent idea.
Once the page is set up I'll put a post up on the Former eBay Sellers page - there are HEAPS of comments there about PP as well.

I've got the box open ready to click 'create' and thought I'd throw a name out there "People Against PayPal's 21 Day Hold on Funds"? Or should I just go with something simple like "PayPal Sucks" (although that one already exists!!)?
Any other suggestions to get the page noticed by the masses?

I probably have no right to stick my nose in here because I am not a seller....but I am going to!!!
I would keep it professional. Paypal Sucks sounds more like a rant from a hothead.
You want to get the message across what it is all about but in a reasoned way, with logical arguments and sensible suggestions.
What you don't need is words like thieves, scoundrels, liars and ripoff being bandied about, even if it is true.

People versus Paypal, it has to be professional, got to gain attention in the right way and it cant be defamatory. Hard simple facts. What they have done etc.

Why not just factual, Paypal Not releasing funds complaints page, it has got to gain attention. Most people would not even know that this paypal policy exsisted or where to go to for help. I am sure there are adhoc sellers out there who have listed some items to make some money for Christmas that now wont be released to them until after Christmas, a lot of people dont even know that the Ombudsman exsists..Advertise this hideous policy to the masses. When Westpac I think wouldnt release funds due to a software glitch, it made every media outlet as front page news, a man drove his car through a banks window and that was only for about a week, this is 21 days..

That is exactly the sort of thing I had in mind superior. Good suggestion.

I liked the People Versus PayPal suggestion too, so have decided that's what it is! Page created. Anyone is free to join!
