Occasional seller

Hi, i sell the odd item from time to time and have never had a problem at all.

But it has finally happened.

Yesterday i get an email from a buyer saying they did not get their item. It was only a small parcel, weight under 500 grams.

I rang Aus post 131318 and was told they would of expected the package to have been delivered around the 6th or 7th August. They said, if the package did not fit in the letter box slot, the postman may of put it in the meter box or left it under a covered area like a carport. Or he may have left a card saying to pick it up from the local post office.

So i messaged all that to the buyer and just recieved an email back from them saying they have called aus post and they dont have the parcel. They said there is always someone at home 24/7 so we would have got the parcel if it had been delivered. They have said they want their money back.

So, im guessing i just have to refund them?

was that the Falcon Badge that was sold on the 5th august and if so when did you post it.....normally aus post can be ok but they can be slow too....i would message the buyer and tell them to hang on for a few days more just in case its delayed in the post and for them to check out the post office to make sure it hasnt been left there by mistake

Re: Occasional seller

Sorry to say Daydream but if the parcel doesn't turn up yes you will have to refund the seller. Even for samll parcels click and send is the best way to go, they have a 500g satchel $6.20 (I think) and a 3kg for $10.55 and these can be posted all over Australia. So long as you lodge at the PO you will least have proof of sending should a buyer open an INR dispute

don't take life too seriously.......it's not permanent
