I have received an offer which is well over my asking price. How can I determine if itโs legit?

Be extremely careful. You've got a feedback score of zero so scammers may try to target you.
I'd be suspicious of any offer that is well over your asking price.
If something has a 'buy it now' price, the buyer would just buy it at the advertised top price if they wanted it. They wouldn't offer more.
As for the auctions where you have make an offer enabled, maybe people might make an offer.
If you decide to accept, just make sure everything goes through ebay, nothing off ebay.

You most certainly can make an offer on an auction.

learn something new everyday. Just looked it up, and OP has some best offers and some BIN's on their auctions, guess I have only ever used BIN on auctions. Something for tomorrows listings.

Thank you.
I spoke with an EBay support consultant who was very helpful. With his support I cancelled the sale.

Which anybody with any sense would have done. No need to get eBay to do what everybody who responded to your question advised you to do.
Why ask the question if you are going to ignore the answers?

"No need to get eBay to do what everybody who responded to your question advised you to do"
The only advice given to the OP was Springyzone's very good advice to be extremely careful.
This is a brand new seller who came to the boards asking for help and returned to say "thank you".
Your response is not helpful to anyone.
