Opening an account in the USA

I am an Aussie seller on ebay and want to open an account in the USA ie ebay.com. We have some very good wholesale arrangements and want to list on ebay in America only

1) What is the most efficient way to do this in terms of costs? Do I need to open an LLC in America?

2) How do I open a bank account in the USA sitting here in Australia as I cant go there to open one up

3) Any other advice would be welcome
