Seems it can affect buyers decisions?

It also means your items wont be shown on thier listings either. Its a two way street.

Yes, it can affect decisions.

If your prices are competitive then you should think about the fact that your items are coming up on rival listings, too, (as mentioned above), and could generate sales rather than lose them.
