POSTAGE LABEL PROBLEMS

Hi there the last couple of days we have been packing items 500g or less, when we put in the postage label details and dimensions for a 500g parcel it charges us $7.20 BUT when we print out the postage label in the declared weight section it says 22KG!!! NOT 500g is anyone else having the same issue and how do we fix it? thank you
