Packaging question.......boring but I would love some advice!

Hi everyone

Please forgive me if I have this in the wrong category.

I wrap all my items in a variety of cellophane bags with the self adhesive ends.

I have larger different sized articles and would like to wrap in cellophane also ( no bags this size), I have purchased the cellophane but dont want to use sticky tape. Can anyone tell me what glue or adhesive I purchase like that used on self adhesive bags? I would like to glue the cellophane package, its a nicer finish.

Many thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

hahahaa yes I am a fuss pot! Thank you for your ideas!

I guess the packaging is my point of difference....I gift wrap everything ribbons ,bows, the works lol. I want my buyers to feel like they are getting something very special. OTT probably, but it makes me happy.

I dont sell large quantities at all.  I have become very quick at wrapping let me tell ya lol.

I think office works is  great suggestion.......thank you.Smiley LOL

I do love to receive goods where care and thought has gone into the presentation of goods, particularly garments.

Nothing worse than getting a satchel with a squished up garment that has not been at least folded to reduce creasing.

I take great care also in my packaging and have received too many compliments, personal emails thanking me for my effort and returning customers to believe it is wasted effort.

I don't care if buyers don't care that some sellers take extra care to send goods in attractive packaging.  I care.

Thanks cats...my buyers appreciate it. I have good repeat business especially from husbands buying for their wives, it looks like they have gone to an extra effort so they reckon they get brownie points for that.

My items are generally quite expensive and as I said I sell low volume.

For every person that may dislike wrapping paper & a Sellers care, there are many who appreciate it, thankfully those people are my customer base.

Anyway thank you all for your input.

Had a google around ...must be out there somewhere, there is a consumer need Cat Happy

Hard to not bring up thousands of bags when searching, but there appear to be some sellers of clear self seal adhesive gum or tape around, but could only see products available in industrial quantities and widths - Maybe to fit the machinery that applies it to the bags ?       lol thats a random guess Cat LOL

I actually looked into buying big rolls of anti-static film when I first started but in the end I think it was better just to use the pre made bags. I only use about 3 sizes so in the end the time to make all the bags killed it. For high value, low volume stuff it would definately be worth looking into.

Presentation of an item is really the most import thing if a customer wants something yesterday, for the most part anyway.

I forgot to mention. I did end up getting a heat sealer to seal the bags. Plus you can squish all the air out or puff it up.

I googled "types of glue" and had a bit of a read through some lists.... Pressure Sensitive Adhesives (AKA self-adhesive, self-stick adhesive) sounded like the closest thing to what the cello bags have (examples of use included post-it notes and the like), apparently available in strips / sheets and dots, I didn't check to see how easy it is to buy, though.
