Payment reminder for cancelled transaction?

I received a message from a buyer this morning she received a payment reminder from eBay for cancelled transaction.

Does eBay automatically send payment reminders after certain days? I thought it's only for sellers using selling managers. And why does eBay send a payment reminder for cancelled transaction? Did this happen to others too?

For the record, the buyer cancelled the purchase because she bought wrong quantity. She messaged me straight away she made a mistake and I asked her to cancel the purchase and re-purchase the right quantity. The second purchase was paid and posted. The first one was cancelled on 16th February.

Ebay automatically send a reminder after 48 hours unless you have that option turned off, it has nothing to do with using SM.
