Paypal to bank acount technical glitch on 15/04/12

I have been waiting for payment of funds to my bank account transferred on 15th April. It is still not showing. I phoned Paypal on Friday and they said ti would appear on Saturday for sure. It is now Sunday and still no funds.

I rang Paypal and have been informed that there is a delay in posting the funds for transfers mae on 15th April and that their technical team is currently investigating the problem. They could not say that once the funds are 'found' how long it would be before the funds get to the bank! I queried whether it would be another 5 'working days' but they could not answer.

The respondent to my questions said that all ebay members had been notified but I said I definitely had not and that on Friday I had phoned and had not been told at that time. I was then told that they had informed customers that  'scheduled maintenance' on the Paypal 'blog' was their way of communicating with their customers - I did not even know there was a Paypal blog.......anyone else had that problem?? I rang ebay as I am concerned with the fact that feedback may be affected being as I usually do not post out until I receive funds into my bank - if we contact ebay they will take this into account on feedback but what about the star system and delays?

Disappointed in the lack of communications......

Funds received this morning (Anzac Day) - for which I am greatly relieved. Still no phone call within 48 hours as absolutely promised nor confirmation via email which was also promised.....I think maybe Paypal need to improve their communication skills within their customer base as this will have dented their reputation for sure.

I have now received an email from 'Maleen' with the following info, cut and paste:

'This is in regards to the delay in posting of the withdrawal you initiated on the 15th of April.

We found that a system error occurred when uploading data from PayPal to our local bank processor some transactions were not processed effectively around 16th of April, resulting in delays of credits to and debits from our customers’ accounts. The issue has now been resolved and all funds have been processed yesterday.

Our local bank partner has processed the delayed transactions yesterday.  Please check your bank as you should see the funds posted either yesterday or on Thursday (due to Anzac Day public holiday on Wednesday 25 April in AU).

We do apologise for the issue and thank you for your understanding.

So anyone waiting for their monies will now receive by Thursday, I am sure we are all relieved now : ) that this debacle has now come to a close. I know I am !

I remember now, i also remember bank computers crashing couple of times.  Does that mean that people should refuse to accept DD ?   🙂
