Hi - Wondering if someone could help.
I am using the new photobucket for the first time and the photos are appearing in my listings very large.
Could someone advise how to correct this?
Thanks in advance.

you need to resize them before uploading to ebay.
unfortunately we cannot see yr listings to judge what you think ''too large'' is.

Thanks putney.
No, haven't uploaded them yet - listing today.
What's the best size?

from the Site Map at the bottom of this page, you will find lots of information about Selling and Photos...
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/sell/pictures.html
is an example. Look around the Site Map before you start
make sure you are registered as a Seller
make sure you have your c/card on file to pay your Seller fees
make sure you update your Paypal account to premium or business to accept payments from your buyers.

Do you mean the actual size as it appears on screen or the file size which is perhaps too big to upload?
If it is just the former then in the description tab just click on the pic to hi-light it and then drag the corners in to re-size it.
If the file size is too large you will have to use PB or an image editor to reduce the file size, most cameras come with their own software or there are plenty of editing tools available.
I actually have my camera set at the correct resolution for uploading to ebay.

Thanks a lot. Been selling for years but never had to alter photos. Got it under control now.

For the sake of anyone else reading this...
Sandy is probably using PhotoBucket to display photos within the body her eBay item descriptions and is using an HTML template that is designed for the photos to be a certain size. In the past PhotoBucket would automatically size them as she uploaded to her desired size. The new PhotoBucket may be defaulting to a larger size. To fix all she needed to do was change the size setting during the upload process or resize them smaller after uploading.
There is no eBay involvement with photos displayed within the item description. They may be shown as large or as small as desired and as many as desired (not limited to 12). Additionally, images such as banners and logos can be displayed as well as video such as from YouTube.
Hope this helps,
Rob

Thanks Rob - that's exactly what I was doing.
I will check out the size setting next time I upload.

Just in case anyone is looking for the resize feature when uploading, I just uploaded some photos and went looking. I found the following answer:
Your original files are always stored for all of your uploaded images. The option to resize or change the size of your uploaded images is not currently available on the new site. Images uploaded to the new site are stored at their original sizes. However, we sometimes create smaller copies for display purposes on the web. A web sized (1024X768) copy is created for easy display of large images. Smaller images are displayed at their original size.
We suggest you resize your photos to the resolution you would like to link them as, before uploading them to your account. That way any images that are smaller than 1024x768 will remain that size when linked out across the web.
You can also resize images after they've been uploaded to your account using the editor. Check it out here!
Looks like you need to resize before uploading.

Thank you Sandy. There are many sellers who use PhotoBucket hosting with FreeForm. If they write to me for assistance, now I'll be able to answer correctly! ๐
For users working on Windows computers I recommend Irfanview http://www.irfanview.com as an easy to use tool for resizing. Be sure to also download the "plugins" as they add a "Save For Web" tool which includes a preview with a selected amount of compression applied. Usually 80 on the quality scale of 1-100 is perfect but it's better to see the effects prior to actually applying to the photo.
Important: These are considerations for preparing photos for display within item descriptions. When uploading photos to eBay Hosting they should not be reduced prior to uploading. eBay reduces them afterwards automatically.
Hope this helps,
Rob
