i wish Ebay would punish them harder they are growing in numbers because they get away with it so lightly !!! at least they could make it that they can be blocked after 1 non payment there is no excuse to do it twice

They go straight into my fast growing "Block List" . Doesn't seem to work, as some just get a new account and off they go again and again and again. The ones that drive me nuts are the ones that always have an excuse.

I shall tell one story. Had a lady Buyer tell me once that her 18 month old baby must have put the bid on. I replyed back, very politely saying, you must a  Mensa Baby there, because you also to to confirm the bid.  Pityful really ain't it. 🙂

Re: Please bring back negative feedback for non paying buyers!!!!!

You have to be kidding, do you really want to regress to how it was some six or more years ago when sellers could leave negs for buyers. It was a hot mess, unscrupulous sellers left retaliatory negs and buyers who were numpty enough to think that meant something were blackmailed into revising the feedback. There was no way to block non payers other than putting them on your BBL. Most sellers had neither the time nor the inclination to trawl through the feedback of every person who placed a bid and even if they did it did not prevent a last minute snipe or the use of BIN.

This seller would never want a return to the old system, an ideal scenario would be if ebay did away with all buyer fedback as it is meaningless other than as a count of items that have been purchased from sellers who leave feedback.

Re: Please bring back negative feedback for non paying buyers!!!!!

i dont know about complete blocking after one instance of not paying, benefit of the doubt and all that.

Stuff happens, people end up in hospital or need to travel on short notice etc.

The current system may not be perfect buts its considerably better than the old system

Re: Please bring back negative feedback for non paying buyers!!!!!

I personally don't think negs for buyers is a genuine solution to the NPB problem, it fails to do so on every site I've seen that allows it  - I'd rather try to minimise the issue for everyone than have the means to let a few other sellers know one specific member didn't pay for my item.

For example, I have a situation now where a member bought some items, paid for some, didn't pay for others, ignored all my messages, ignored the UPI disputes, then went on my BBL. That should have been the end of it, but they created a new ID with exactly the same details and bought from me again. Smiley Mad I don't want to leave them a negative, I want to stop them from purchasing from me. The UPI system would work a whole lot better if eBay didn't undermine it in several ways, and blocks were in place by default.
