Please help with buyer's question

Hi all,

I have a pack of six plastic drinking glasses listed.   A buyer asked if I had any more (yes), how many (12 more), and if she could buy the lot, but needs them by this Friday, and is prepared to pay extra to express post them.

I was agreeable to all of this until I saw her profile and found she is apparently in the UK!  Superman couldn't get them to her in that short time, let alone me. I noticed she has bought lots of other things from Aus, with no problems by the looks of it, so could she actually be in Aus with a UK account?  Is that possible?   I'm waiting for her to reply (time is getting on), but I think if I go ahead with this, it will result in a drama, purely because of the postage timeframe.

Also, if this was to go ahead, how would I get payment?  All my listings are BIN, so seeing I have only 1  pack listed, how do I organise payment for the other 2 packs and the postage?  Obviously they will all go in the same package, but I am not familiar with issuing invoices, and don't even know if it is possible with a BIN instant payment scenario.

I notice a lot of people on the boards talk about invoicing and the different ways to do things, and i do read up on all of it - but it never seems to relate to me.  I dont run auctions - which is what I presumed invoices were for (?) so, as you can see, I'm a bit confused.

Thanks in advance Smiley Happy

Re: Please help with buyer's question

If she is in the UK I would advise that you just cannot get them to her by Friday.

If however he/she still wants them, create a listing (sell something similar) just for them. (you may need to end the other listing if you only have 12 in stock total.) Advise her the ID numer so it is easy for the buyer to find it.

Re: Please help with buyer's question

Ask then buyer if they want them posted to an AU address because there is no way to get to the UK in the time frame they are requesting.

Have they even paid for the first lot?

If they have not paid within 4 days open a non payer dispute and that will give them another 4 days to pay and if still nothing close the dispute and block them.

If they are in the UK they would know there is no way they would get them by Friday even posted express.

Re: Please help with buyer's question

You can cancel the listing you have, create another for the 18 and send the item number to the buyer.

But I would stress before anything that you CANNOT guarantee delivery by friday. Aust Post or courier is out of your hands.

Sometimes things go wrong in transit.

You could get them to the UK by Friday if you send them by Express Courier but just looking quickly and it seems that the cost would be prohibitive.
