Poor trading practices lead to poor comunity safety

Dear Ebay,
I have noticed that there are many sellers on ebay selling alcohol on ebay. Seems to be the go is to write down a fake liquor license number on their listing and it will make the sale. This seems to be quite a common practice as I can point out many cases already.
What I suggest to Ebay is that any sale of alcohol on this website should cease because Ebay is clearly not checking valid liquor license numbers. I also will report these activities to the appropriate Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation in all states and I will have them investigate the activities that are allowed to take place on Ebay.
Enough is enough of these slopy practices .......

Re: Poor trading practices lead to poor comunity safety

Maybe I am looking in the wrong place but I foolishly went looking for a listing with a non-valid licence number and couldn't find one. I imagine there are times it would happen and I imagine there are sellers who foolishly borrow somebody elses licence number, but just like eBay can not check to see that every Rolex watch that is listed is genuine Rolex, eBay also does not have the resources to check every single listing in Alcohol. It is up to the community to report them. If you bring the listing to eBay's attention and they find the seller is not the registered licence holder then I am confident they will pull the listing.

BTW which licence search were you using? Is there one that covers all states or did you go to each state search?
