Hi, I have received a positive feedback but it is definately not for me. It's states "the aquarium filter is brilliant etc...." But I have never sold that item. Would you call the buyer and let them know or just leave it......just curious as to what others would do.

We quite often get something like this.
Its just that ebay remembers old feedback comments a buyer has left and if they don't change it then it will just keep on leaving the very same comment each time. You could be pretty sure that other sellers have likely gotten this same comment too.
Just look at feedback left for others from that buyer and you will see.
Just be happy its POS, the comment is really irrelevant.

I recently received positive feedback with a comment about batteries, trouble is it was a pair of earrings that I sold.
I just left a reply basically saying the feedback wasn't for me, couldn't be bothered contacting the buyer or eBay to change it - it's only feedback.

It happens. I had a lovely positive feedback for selling some cutlery to someone. The only problem is that it would have been for either a book or a record (can't remember now!). Just had a laugh and moved on. I was just pleased it was positive.

Don't get me wrong, I am pleased that it is positive, but I thought the other seller might like his/her feedback. I thought maybe calling the buyer and letting them know, might be the extra customer service some buyers look for.

Just ignore it. who cares what it says it's positive.

As it is positive feedback that is fine BUT if it came with any low DSR ratings eg Postage Costs etc than it could be a problem I'd just keep a watch on your DSRs just in case

I had one a couple of weeks ago that was a bullet ducked.
A customer had asked about the subject matter of a book and I informed her it was NOT what she was looking for.
About a week later I received an abusive message about the same book claiming I had misrepresented the contents.
On checking stock I still had my original copy and had not sold it to her; she'd apparently contacted another seller and was told a porky.
After a bit of toing and froing she realized she'd messaged the wrong seller via the dreaded App.
I can see how easy it would be to confuse feedback if using that damnable mobile catastrophe.
eBay is far too complex a site to work well on the strictly size limited app platform.
I don't know why people still use it in this era of large mobile screens and data plans.
