I have a buyer who has failed to pay despite sending an invoice and reminder messages.
So I opened up a UID this morning.
She has sent now sent thru a message saying I will pay on Monday.
But that will be 2-days after the case closes.
Is it possible to give an extension on the time now, or is it now on a fixed time-line?
I am inclined not to believe her but just thought I would extend the time 2-days if its possible.

That's right the case can be closed but until you close it then it is still open so you can leave it for longer if you wish. The 4 days that I mentioned was the 4 days that the buyer has to pay

I think that even though when the 4 days is up you can still leave it for longer,it's when you decide to close the case, the 4 days is just a minimum period you have to wait

I think the rule is a buyer has 4 days to pay then a UID can be opened. The buyer then has a further 4 days to pay before the case can be closed?

my understanding is you can close a case after 4 days but ebay gives upto 10 days before ebay themself will close a case if that makes sence..
