Does anyone know if it's possible to disable the automated 'Please pay for your item' emails that eBay sends out to buyers -- about one or two days after an auction ends?!
I recently had a buyer complain to me about 'my' impatience after they received several of these, and there really is no need for eBay to do this. All it does is annoy the buyer and most likely contributes to low star ratings in many cases, as I'm sure it did in this example.

ebay only send ONE payment reminder 2 days after the sale.
If they got more than that they did not come from ebay or they are exaggerating.

To stop ebay sending the message hover your mouse over Account in your my ebay,
from the drop down click on Manage communication with my buyers
and then hover your mouse over
If your buyer hasn't paid after a couple of days and there is a yes no option for those emails.

This was a multiple purchase, and there's one reminder for each item, not just one for the entire order. I know this because I get them all the time when I make multiple purchases from the same seller. Just today I received seven of them on the same transaction, only two days after the listings ended.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that now 🙂

You can turn the reminders off if you want but ebay only send the one reminder after 2 days.
Go to My eBay > My Account > Manage communications with buyers

I can see your point Kustom-65 because I find it very annoying when I've made multiple purchases with the same seller and have to wait a few days to finish buying other items that the auction time ends days later and I'm receiving Ebay payment reminders for the earlier items.
I know they were coming from Ebay instead of the seller so I say nothing about it to the seller themselves, but Ebay gets a mouthful of abuse from me every time over it.
It has never made any difference but at least I'm venting at the real perp instead of blowing up the seller for something that they don't appear to have any control over.
Okay, I openly admit it, I have an attitude problem 😉
So, I have an attitude... What's your problem ]:)

It IS annoying, a shame it has to be the default - like that dopey 'Best match' thing...!
In the incident I referred to, the buyer asked if I could wait a week for payment, and I told them that was fine. So they were understandably peeved when they were flooded the next day with 'PAY NOW' reminders!
Ah well, all fixed now. Thanks again folks!

If a buyer asks me if they can wait to pay as they are interested in other items I tell that is fine and just to ignore any reminder to pay emails that ebay send out automatically.
If they haven't contacted me within 48 hours if they are not paying within 4 days then they shouldn't be surprised if they get a reminder on day 2, they will get another from me after 3 days and a dispute will be opened after 4!

Then how do you handle things when a buyer is waiting for another one of your auction items to bid on 5-6 days after they won their first auction with you phorum-junkie?
I don't bother contacting the seller for any reason until I've finished my buying session with them, no matter how many days in between items coming up, so I'd see you as harrassing me going by what you say above, and if you launched a dispute aganst me after only 4 days you'd p1ss me so badly I'd be contacting Ebay over your harrassment.
If all your items were listed as BINs I'd have no problem with paying immediately, but how can anyone do that when they're bidding on multiple listings stretching out days apart?
I don't consider myself to be answerable to any Ebay seller when my payment is held up due to their own auction listing frequencies.
