Hey, ok so I sold an item for $500, with an agreed postage cost of $65. The buyer made a single offer of $565 so I accepted. I went to invoice it out at $565 with $0 postage and it wouldnt let the buyer pay, saying postage cant be $0.
I then adjusted it and gave the sale a $65 discount and added $65 in the postage section - total of the invoice equals $565 still...
Now the buyer has paid the invoice, but the ebay payment transaction shows item total $565, with a $65 discount, with $0 postage, meaning its only sent me $500...
I am unsure how it has done this.

If eBay don't sort this out and buyer pays you elsewhere.....it's eBay's loss (you'll save fees on $65 postage) 🙄

Agreed. If the buyer feels comfortable with that (Even thought they confirm they paid $65 less, I still feel me asking for money outside of the sale has scammer vibes which I definately am NOT... I will see what he thinks.

take it & run, lol......if anything ever happens (which I doubt) refer eBay to this thread and their incompetence....you have tried to sort it, now their problem!!

I'd be more concerned about the fact most of your items you're not making any money on, and some you're actually losing money. What is the point?

Are you sure the total sale according to eBay was $500?
Or, as is likely, was your payment, less eBay fees, $500?
