Pricing ranges limit the ability to sort item price effectively

Hi All,

This is more of an observation rather than a query.

I'm finding more eBay sellers quoting a range of prices for an item. For example, if I look up 'dog collar' I'll get a listing of dog collars with many items listing a price range of $1.00 to $45.00 as opposed to just a single price (please refer to the attached image). If I look at the item, the $1.00 sale price relates to a clip or something trivial, the actual dog collar sells for $45.00.

By allowing sellers to price items this way, I can't sort from lowest to highest effectively and I'm finding the value of eBay, as opposed to other onlline sales platforms is decreasing. It seems like many sellers are pricing their items this way to compete, but I don't wish to troll through all items to find what the actual price is and will most likely go elsewhere.

Is anyone else finding this frustrating?
