I sent a PM to a member, and had a response.
Tried to reply but Lithium tell me "One or more of these members doesn't have PM's enabled. Their names have been removed from the send to list". First time I tried there was supposed to be invalid HTML in there?? What HTML??
I just tried to send another with just 'testing' as the message - but the red error bits came up again.
Can anyone explain why?

Copy from Word into Notepad which will definitely remove all extra junk. Then copy and paste the message from Notepad and try sending it.

I even added this person as a friend.
I could be just one of life's little mysteries. I have discovered that there are certain words I can't type in a message because instead of above the quote button saying "Autosaved at <time>", I get a pink error message up the top of the screen saying "sorry, unable to complete the action you requested". Others are able to type those same words with no problems. One of those words is Torrential, but only if I use a small t. If I use a captial T, it works OK. I can't remember off hand that the moment what the other words are.
If I try to post the message, I get a page showing "this page can't be displayed. Make sure the web address is correct. Look for the page through your search engine. Refresh the page in a few minutes".
Your issue could be something as simple as writing a word or phrase that the system doesn't like YOU writing. It doesn't have to be an offensive word, as shown above in my example. If it's important that you speak to this other member privately and you can't get them via PM, you could always contact each other through the "contact" option on your eBay page.
