Earlier this month I got a promotion of "Pay $0 Insertion & Final Value Fees" for the next 8 items listed between 10 November and 20 December however after the 2 first listings it stopped and I was charged the fees. I contacted eBay and the response in part was"
"Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused you. I will raise a report about this here in my end and at the same time, I suggest you continue to list 9 more items and take note of the item numbers so if it may gets sold and you get charged, we will manually take care of the fee by removing it off your account."
So after listing 3 more items and being charged I contact eBay again and their response:
"The promotion has some errors hence it was removed. As per the technical team when they checked, the items listed before this was checked as an issue will be waived and that the is the 10-15 days time frame that I have advised above.. At the same time, since the promotion has been removed, technically, there will be no promotion now. So when you list an item now, a selling fee will be charged. I humbly apologise for the troubles this may have caused and I hope you understand."
Not sure I do understand all this but ....
Now I have received another promotion with no fees for the next 2 items sold between 29 Nov and 12 Dec. So I click on the "accept offer" and get the following message:
"Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only"
Kind of frustrating.
