Request total and ebay shopping cart

Hi guys,

I have just tried to use eBay shopping cart but I cannot see any Request total function in it.

Have I missed it or it is just not availbale in a cart?

I just deleted all cart content, then used buy it now and requested total from the seller.

P.S. 

I could see ebay saying before shopping cart payment about how much I saved on postage but it does not make sence at all.

I have purchased from the same seller before and combined postage cost is about $25 while ebay is happy for me to pay $61 for postage because they have removed this functionality.

Buyers have to use a desk top device. Add items to cart, commit to buy, then they can 'request total from seller'. Mobile app doesn't support this option (or so Ebay have told me)

Im wondering if the Combined Postage option has anything to do with the " Apply my calculated postage rule" check box in my listings? I do not have that ticked as I had not set any rules? Cheers

Gday paper-jack,

In my experience, I don't think that a desktop PC or laptop using the Classic Site makes any difference when trying to combine items in the Cart. Even going into their Buying Preferences and unticking the Checkout saved payments method hasn't worked.

My work around is to end items and then put them up as a new items with correct postage.

So far 80% of Buyers that request this actually go on to buy them 

Just my experience and it may not be the same as others, but these problems seem to be worse in the last few months.

Maybe it's a glitch that will miraculously fix itself pffft
