Ring purchase

Hi, Four questions:

1. I listed a ring and put a buy now price and an auction starting bid which for some reason, it didn't ask me to accept the winning bid?

2. The buyer wanted to pay in two weeks time and asked for the item to be shipped? No way.

3. Can I cancel the order?

4. All payment/ purchase transactions went through PayPal. Now it is asking me to list my bankcard. Why?

Re: Ring purchase

Confusing post by the OP Twyn, they said the buyer wanted to wait 2 weeks then afterwards said paid through Paypal - but needed the bankcard. Possibly the OP hasn't verified through eBay's Managed Payments yet?????

5.5Ct Moissanite Diamond Ring, 14 Ct White Gold Plated Engagement Ring | eBay

postage shows as $7.65 for me

if you cancel the sale, be prepared for negative feedback

is PayPal asking for your bankcard details?

Wellโ€ฆ. It sold for $177.

Seller has now resisted it for BIN $5K with a pissy $9.15 postage ๐Ÿค

I bet we hear from this seller again about buyer putting in a INR claim ๐Ÿ˜Š

Re: Ring purchase

A couple of things in the listing that could/should be amended - Mossanite is NOT a diamond so the 2 words should not be linked together.

Also in the description the seller claims "Natural Genuine Gemstone" - Mossanite made for jewellery is not a natural stone, it is created in a laboratory - yes it was first discovered in microscopic quantities in a meteorite crater, but since then it has been created in labs.

Re: Ring purchase

Given that the vast majority of Moissanite is lab created, plus the actual ring is gold plated, rather than solid, the OP should have taken the $177. No way is a lab created stone on a plated band going to sell for $5,000. The OP will be very disappointed when it is still relisting in 10 years time.
