I had a horrible time with an "experieced" eBayer who insisted I should have posted the won item days ago when it clearly states in my description, Post 1-3 days after clearance from Paypal and Bank.
It was absolutely awful what they said, yet not reportable, I don't think.
I have posted it but from now on, it will be hard to keep communication up when you come across someone like this.
Any help from more experienced eBayers?

If there was payment clearance time involved, I usually message the buyer informing them of exactly when it has cleared. And post the same or following day.
Sometimes PayPal automatically changes a payment to an echeque if a buyer is buying a lot of items and/or expensive items for secure reasons. The buyer is often unaware it changed and an echeque can take 3-6 days to clear.
You could also reiterate your handling time in the description as many don't see it in the postage section.

Hello Magical,
I read your other post as well as this one, you have great feedback so far,so don't be disheartened / deterred by one bad apple in the bunch, generally they are few and far between in my experience, just deal with and move on!
Enjoy your buying & selling like I do.

Why would you make a buyer wait until the money was withdrawn to your bank? Totally unacceptable, if you state a handling time then you should post within that many days from when the funds clear into Paypal. If you are going to make buyer's wait another two or three days then you should say that you will post within 3-8 days of cleared payment. You can still expect to get lousy DSR ratings for your postage time and you may lose a few buyers who will hit the back button though.

Everything you have said I had done!

I messaged every movement. Only use Paypal. The postage is in with my HTML description of item as well as the regular postage that comes when you select. Thanks for your help.

Thank you, you are very sweet and as this is only my 2nd bad selling incident despite everything going smoothly, I will try again. ๐

๐ฎ Oh, I misunderstood. If you have waited for the funds from PayPal to clear into your bank before posting, that is highly unusual.
The funds in PayPal are yours and cleared if they are not pending and that is when you post the item/s.
You can then use the PayPal funds immediately to make purchases whether it be on ebay or other places.
If you want the PayPal balance to your account, then the norm is to do that in you own time not to make a buyer wait a further 3-5 days.
At least around 95% of sellers would do as I suggest. ๐

Perfume is regarded as dangerous goods; therefore, it can't be posted by express mail.
You also need a dangerous goods licence to post perfume so presume you have one or you wouldn't be listing them.
Any seller who made me wait for a lousy $20 to clear into their bank account would cop an immediate neg from me no matter what they wrote in their listing.

Yeh I don't understand why you are making a buyer wait for the funds to go into your account. If its says you post 1-3 days I would expect u to post within 3 days of me paying, with the exception if I pay late afternoon/ night them I would give an extra day.
