SALE FAIL: No instant recourse other than relisting without agreement of contracted buyer

My observation is that eBay is very interested in protecting buyers from negative feedback but is not interested in controlling the poor behaviour of those buyers regarding closure of a sale.

eg: tickets:  which are usually sold on a short timeframe because most sellers only decide they cannot make it to an event at the last minute.  Despite description requirements that payment and communication be urgent amd responsive I exoerienced two buyers that failed to communicate post sale.

1.  Tickets should only be recognised as sold by Ebay after the seller has approved the buyer.

2.  Tickets should be offered on much shorter timeframes ( down to 6 hrs) in addition to the longer schedules(3days) due to the imminent nature of the impending event.

I've had this issue with other sales also where the buyer has failed to withdraw bid or cancel sale.  the seller then has to wait 4 days for the sale to be formally cancelled.  bit unfair.

The 4 day rule to pay is one imposed by ebay. do not blame a buyer for this. event tickets sold on here should end at least a week  or two before the event to allow for the 4 days and then allow for postage of said tickets. or better still ebay should not allow tickets to sold on here, or the seller should have to provide proof the tickets are still good. too many bad stories about it on here.

if a buyer has paid you then you can not relist until an UID is finalised.

6 hours you say. well just how is a buyer supposed to pay then get the tickets in that timeframe? whats more, what if the tickets ends up being invalid?

If listing anything that has a dead line for payment and the buyer to receive the item, list as a buy now with immediate payment only.

That way until it is paid for it is still an active listing.

Once paid for the listing then ends.
