When I searched these terms your items show up as #2 position on the first one and #1 position on the second.

Yes I agree sales have been dismal for most of June. I feel several things have contributed to this. School holidays I always find things slow - election and the situation in the Uk perhaps have people nervous.
On the other hand with this terrible weather in the lower states of AUS would have thought people would have been staying at home and surfing the net.
I did a promotion for the first time in my store and did find that uplifted sales with people purchasing three items for 10% of. 3 Large sales resulting in $1400 but without that it would have been drastic.
Perhaps worth a try.
Cheers

I noticed a very interesting trend this past week.
My sales are usually perfectly consistent each month, but with the election turmoil, sales had started to fall away. I was wondering how they where going to magically return to average ( as they always do ) If buyers where so cautous with spending around the election.
I got my answer a couple of days ago. Lights on and a big rush of sales, with 60 % coming from overseas. Normally I sell around 15 % - 20% overseas. It seems buyers in Australia are not spending, so my visibility OS suddenly increased.
RESULT - right back to my weekly average. It seemed a clear indication that sales have fallen dramatically in Australia. I suppose there has to be some silver linings to ebays throttling. Sellers who are affected are recieving a consistent income stream, even if it is not at levels of two years ago.

People nervous about buying why?
These reasons people give as to why no one is buying are just myths, someone either buys or they don't
and it's not because of an election or what has happened in another country or school holidays for crying out loud.
You can't keep selling flat out every day forever you know.

I have not noticed it before but at least three persons told me that it is slow with sales in retail before and right after elections. So that may be a reason. My sales for this month is at least 70% down but they have not been good since the beginning of this year.
I guess it is not just economical/politacl reasons. Ebay with their changes with free postage and 1 day processing time is playing tricks on sellers who do not want or simply cannot offer these two options and ebay is pushing them down in search results.

My sales are down about 80-90% too. A big drop! I'm sure it is the usual election reaction that I've seen in retail for the last 20 years, shops always have a drop in discretionary spending every election & YES!! it doesnt make much sense but it's apprarently due to "uncertainty". Well that's what business reports say - that consumers dont spend during periods of uncertainty like elections. B & M Retailers I know also say that customers act like a sheep herd...they are either all buying or all NOT buying. I think we've temporarily entered a NOT buying cycle. ( middle of winter malaise, election, school hols, ecomomy Blah!!) My drop off happened very suddenly about the time the election was called.
