Its the same here, usual sales of 50+ items a day, but since Saturday 22nd of June, sales have been very very poor, trying to figure out why, but still with no clues. Further the search results looks acting funny. We sell the Game of thrones book, and we were the TOP most, first entry in the search result, but now appearing on the page 2, all of a sudden. and again once in a blue moon will find it on the first place. So do not know whats happening here on ebay.
Please do advice if others are also experiencing the same.

It's just that pre-election jitters thing again.
People are unsure if the soon to be elected Abbott govt will have a positive or negative effect on their economic position so they're just sitting on their hands waiting.
I know I lose $600 because I have kids, but I'm unsure about how much the Medicare surcharge will be as I elect not to be privately insured.

How Can it be pre election Jitters When the problem started the day they introduced best match into the system ?

my seller id is a top seller with 100% score. I don't think there is anything wrong with my listing.
3 weeks ago I had 80 sales a day but yesterday it finally down to 20.
All my items were listed to the very thin margin but they still don't sell... I imported in bulks for discounted cost but now I am in trouble.
also with the weaken aussie $$ I should really be raising the prices not the other way.
I am going to put up a clearance sale today and see if the inventory can be dumped. guess it's like playing in stock market. sometimes we have to accept the loss and get out quickly.

Just wondering if you found out anything....my sales have stopped also....what are they doing?

I performed some searches for my keywords.
I used these keywords before most of my best sellers are always on top.
but now some new listings can easily get ahead of mine because they got sold more most recently.
I also noticed eBay now has " X people purchased this item in the past 24 hours" displayed on the item picture.
I suspect eBay has done something that gives new listing more opportunities to jump ahead. Just saw a listing currently at top position only had been sold 15 units but it's No.1 in the search result. my item has been sold 400+ units (used to be no.1) and now on 2nd page.
as a seller I am feeling more stressed because we have to pay more attention to the new competition and always bring in new products..
after investigating what brought my sales down I also found a competitor copied a few of my best-sellers, made the gallery picture exactly like mine then offer them a few dollars less. Only few days past he's way ahead of me in search result.
I reported to ebay when last time it happend. he changed the picture a little bit and got away. I am tired of this matter so the only solution is PRICE WAR. but if he's willing to sell for peanuts I have to give up. it's not worth it.
if this is the true cause of recent sales decline, I can't blame ebay because the buyers will be better off. it's just too much work for the sellers. have to constantly monitors all rankings and adjust prices..
but this is how the market works.. when it become too crowded with other people who are willing to sell for less, you get out and find something else,

Now Kevin's PM, you might see a little more sales as confidence flows back into the economy.

My sales are going gangbusters (for me). I sell used books, but there are two OS sellers consistently cheaper than anyone else, who I can rarely match, much less beat, and I am never the cheapest Australian seller.
Maybe my 100%, 4.9+ stars on moderate sales inspires confidence? Maybe the fact that I include real pics of the books, put some sort of blurb in my description, describe any defects makes a difference? I certainly hope so. I rarely have duplicates of used books, so the time I spend on a listing generally has to be recouped in one sale.

thanks pretty good
how many sales do you have every day?
i also have 100% positive and <0.2% on top seller DSR, 30+ images for each product but that doesn't help anymore.
