Hi all,
Well it looks more than likely that one of my items will be returned to sender, as despite the parcel being in waiting since 10th, it is still there according to tracking and phone contact with Australia Post. The cust rep did say that the "cannot have been picked up, as it cannot be released without scanning", although I know this to be incorrect, as I have had a couple of items done just that!
What I am asking is two-fold a) would you contact the buyer by phone and ask, I am reluctant to do this as a few sellers have noted, as it may just lead to alerting them that tracking is wrong, if indeed they did collect?
b) what is the correct procedure for returned items, from both ebay and paypals perspective? This item was free shipping, which is obviously impossible, but was an all in price. Shipping was possibly $25.00, if I refund, can I omit the postage costs? Is there a way of reporting unclaimed items to ebay? Could I hold the item and wait?
c) okay tri-fold :)) I have decided to pick up the item if it is not collected in the timeframe, this is because it will be another 3 or 4 days waiting for it to be returned on what is a limited and in demand item, and I only live perhaps twenty minutes away. What precaustions should i take if picking up? I will ask Aus Poat to weigh the item before I sign for it to ensure it is the same as it was when sent, I also have images of the item on the weighing scales when sent at the PO to match it, is there anything else you would do? I cannot help being suspicious when the item is paid for, but not collected, I wonder if the scammer backed out when realised that they must sign for the item, and that it is fully insured, meaning if any dispute Aus Post would investigate?

If buyer suddenly reappears and wants to rebuy I would refuse them. I would also add them to my "special list". Not worth all the frustration.
I certainly will do........but that is assuming THEY leave feedback, and judging the fact they have failed to respond so far to 3 ebay messages, 3 emails, and 2 texts it is unlikely I will be hearing anything?
