We just had a buyer contact us wanting to buy our car. He said he was on a ship some where but would pay via paypal adding extra for his courier. He then emailed saying he made payment and could we send his courier the money for him or the rest of the payment would not go through as Paypal were holding it.
We even got an email from paypal saying this. I knew it was a scam because the email from paypal went to my junk file.
If you get an email from: <someone>@gmail.com on behalf of <somone>@paypal.com.au (<somone>@consultant.com) don't believe it.

Yep, cash on pick up for vehicles and such.
A common scam to say buying it for a relative and needs to be sent somewhere, blah, blah, blah.
Or I am working off shore and can't pick it up etc.
And if for some reason a seller accepts PayPal, always log directly in and check if payment is there, NOT via links.
In which a car carrier will always expect payment from the buyer for their services, not for a seller to be an agent.
