I sold an item on the 6th March the wining bidder made no attempt to pay for the item or communicate for a payment extension. So I opened a case after the 6th day of non-payment to get my final selling fee credited back to my account. I then put the item up for second chance offer which the system allows me to do. The item was once again purchased and payment made immeadiately.
I then requested to the orignal bidder that I wanted to cancel the transaction through the resolution centre and which they agreed to do. The next thng I see is they have left me a negaitve feedback which I believe is unfair as the way I see it I have done nothing wrong?
Perhaps my mistake was to jump the gun before the case closed and pushed for the second chance offer and now my rating has gone from 100% to 99.2%. I think people will make decisions on whether to purchase or not based on these scores. I did appeal but to no avail and now Im begining to think eBay is a bit biased in favour to the buyer .
Appreciate your comments on this - Frances

yes I now realise my mistake by re-selling without finalising the first transaction. However the orignal buyer should not been allowed to leave negative feedback saying Im not a nice person? Thats not a very constructive comment to leave.

Your mistake.
The mistake was not so much jumping the gun, but offering the NPB a mutual cancelllation. You should have closed the unpaid item case. Then they wouldn't have been able to leave feedback. You also should not have resold it before you resolved the first case as if the original bidder had paid you would have had one disappointed customer.

I am at a loss as to why AFTER you had your fees refunded by ebay for their non payment, you then asked the original buyer to cancel the transaction??
A finalised NPB case returns your fees, cancels the transaction, gives the nonpaying buyer a strike and also blocks the buyer from leaving feedback. There is no reason to cancel a transaction that no longer really exists.
