As a seller I find it amusing how Ebay allows people to use several fake business names to rip buyers off and does nothing to stop them.
As a example, I know of one computer seller who has at least 5 names on here. One name has already been banned due to excessive negatives and theft yet Ebay (who knows the other ID names) allows their other accounts to continue trading.
What is even more annoying is this 'Best Match' garbage (which is utterly false in what it is supposed to do) gives this seller a boost and has them always on the top in searches.
By this, Ebay is supporting sellers who are stealing. They are destroying online sales for the honest sellers.
Contacting Ebay about this or any other problem is a total waste of time as we all know.

If you can show that an eBay user has been deregistered, but trades under another name/ID here, then report it as that is clearly against policy. eBay can check, as any accounts using the same personal details or IP addresses are linked on their system.
point it out to the service rep, and ask to speak to a supervisor if they will not check.

While they are breaching rules if they have been stopped from selling on one id and are using others there is absolutely nothing wrong with selling on different ids, I myself sell on 3 and I can assure you that I do not have any suspensions or indeed a single neg feedback on any of my ids going back many, many years.

I think you should read up on how the search engine optimisation works. Last I heard, they updated keywords to a new type of algothrim that causes sellers item to be ranked a certain way.
Its always been the rich gets richer scheme. When has it ever been any different in the past. The big boys will always make it harder for the small people while their vast resources give them a huge advantage. I've never seen a rich person who is honest and nice... ever... My rich friends (by which I mean their parents) who owns lambos and planes are pretty much corrupted too..

Ebay knows full well that a particular seller on here is using multiple ID's (of which one has been banned for ripping buyers off). A simple check of ABN's does that along with hundreds of complaints online about them and their other 'business' names but as they have sold a lot of items,Ebay won't touch them. And they wodner why so many people are budious about buying on here when that sort of thing goes on.
As for the so called 'best match'.It is a complete lie what Ebay states about it. They constantly dribble that they use an 'algothrim' and on many many ocassions I have spoken to them and been provided with the key areas used and time and time again I have proven them wrong. It does not work as they say.
There are only two possible answers to 'best match': Either the entire system does not work in the correct way they state whatsoever or it is a scam by Ebay to allow 1-2 sellers to monopolise the entire catagory they sell in and push all other sellers down the list.
