Hi
I have just started selling on E bay (2 months) and am really enjoying it. I wanted to get a feel for selling in Australia before looking into selling Internationally. I was hoping for any tips/advice on selling internationally. Eg. Most important things to know, benefits, negatives, best postage methods. Any experience greatly appreciated! Thank you

I am only a hobby seller, but have learnt a few things.
Cost permitting, always send via trackable means.
I don't sell to Italy, Turkey, Sth America and India anymore as too many items are stolen in transit.
Maybe start by selling on ebay.com, America is a big market and good to learn from. Just factor in a $9 customs fee on top of postage if items are over 453 grams or express post.
Only accept PayPal.
Clearly describe items with pictures as some don't understand english well.
Other than that, start small as you have been doing and good communication is the key to a happy buyer.

I steer well clear of South Africa too. Very slow and unreliable postage system there.

The service fee of $9 is for items over 500gms, it started off at 453gms then changed.
I dont think ive ever had to use it yet.
I sell all over the world, i dont exclude anywhere, ive not had any problems.
