Selling to new buyers

We recently got a big purchase through our eBay store off a person who has only just created the account the same day as the sale. We haven't sent the items yet due to the buyer not responding to our message "ask for their chosen colours".

What's the chance that this would/could be a scam?

I just find these kind of profiles suspicious.

The OP's on MP so claiming through PP is somewhat irrelevant as they don't know how the buyer will pay.

Cancelling the order will ony incur fees and a defect.

I think that if the buyer is not happy with the colours and leaves negative or neutral feedback, the OP could have the feedback removed by eBay if they show eBay the correspondence with the buyer and that they did ask if they had a preference.

Why not just text (or even phone) the buyers and ask them for their choice of colours?

Most buyers are nice people who would appreciate a query to clarify their order.
